Frequently Asked Questions
- What kinds of projects do you take on?
- Residential, commercial, and municipal work. That includes new homes, additions, and historic renovations; workplace, hospitality, housing, and adaptive reuse of existing buildings; and town garages, libraries, schools, and public safety facilities.
- Where do you work?
- Northern and Central Vermont. The practice has been licensed since 2002 and incorporated in Vermont in 2017.
- Which architectural services do you provide?
- Every phase of design and construction — as-built documentation, site assessments, feasibility, master planning, schematic design, construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction administration. Coordinating engineers and consultants, Coe + Coe frequently serves as prime A/E.
- Do you design interiors?
- Yes — architectural interiors, provided as part of our architecture and construction projects. That includes space planning and room layouts, kitchens and baths, casework and millwork, stairs and trim, and finish selections, designed together with the building.
- Do you handle permitting?
- Yes. We handle code diligence and permits across Vermont land use, environmental, and fire and life safety review — Act 250, local zoning, stormwater, erosion control, wastewater, and Shoreland and Wetland Protection.
- Can you build the project as well as design it?
- Yes. Coe + Coe Construction provides turn-key construction — cost estimating, scheduling, and building from start to finish with local sub-contractors, trades people, and craftspeople.
- How do I start a project with you?
- Send an inquiry through the contact page with your project type, location, timing, and a short description. You can also email info@coeandcoearchitecture.com or call the main office line at (802) 731-0218.
