Jasper Hill Cropping Center

James Coe designed and built the Randi Albert Calderwood Cropping Center, which is the first hay dryer to operate in the United States, using AgriCompact equipment, based on traditional Italian Parmigiano methods.

This large project includes a 18,000 square foot hay storage building, a 7,500 square foot hay drying building, and a 2,500 square foot auxiliary hay drying building. The facility has dried over 20,000 large round bales to date.

The shape of the building was specially designed to host an 11,000 square foot solar array, which is offsetting more than half of Jasper Hill Farm's electricity usage.
